Jarhead

I just finished watching this movie. It was unique... It wasn't necessarily a blockbuster, but it gave me a good insight to what a "Jarhead" or a Marine would/could experience. The movie stared Jake Gyllenhaal and Jamie Foxx. The movie was about a frustrated marine, who joined
the marines not because he wanted to but because he had no other choice. Then the movie goes on with the marines day to day activities. Such as boot camp, deployments, down time and etc. Like I said, not a blockbuster but unique. Instead of being a movie about fighting the enemies i.e. Platoon, Full Metal Jacket, etc, it shows the fight on boredom and isolation. Good approach if you ask me. I don't recommend this movie , but I do. Know what I mean? Its one of those movies to rent at the video store when you have no other choice.

Oh, a good thing about the movie was the song. The song is called Jesus walks by Kanye West. I recommend the instrumental version of the song.

That cellphone call...

And I'm not talking about that one you get, but someone else during a meeting or even during class. This event just so happened to me today. God, where has all the common sense in the world gone? I was at my college class and the class had just begun. About 10 minutes into the lecture, we all here a phone ringer go off. We all look around to see where the noise is coming from. Turns out, it was from this kid in the back of the room. FYI, I didn't really like this guy by the body language he gives out. Call me weird, but body language can tick me off pretty easily. Anyways, I just assumed he was gonna walk out of the room and take the call outside, so I swiveled back around in my chair and was waiting to continue with the class. Next thing I know, the idiot is taking the call from his seat with his casual voice. God. What was the fool thinking? Was he thinking that we were gonna waste our time and wait for him to finish? Even I can't answer that. Please God.

Please...

Before I plead my case, I want you readers to know, this is not the usual complaining bulletins I usually mostly write.

But more importantly, I need help. On what you might ask? Idea's I reply. Idea's on what? On a video. If you didn't know, making video's is a hobby of mine. Although I may not be good at it, I still enjoy doing it.

Recently, I've been hit by the urge to make a video. But of what? That's where this post comes into play.

I was hoping that someone might be kind enough and help me with my problem. Then again, no one may reply. But heck.
It was worth a shot yeah?

Any sugestions would be appreciated. No matter how stupid or complicated, I'll listen.

The GodFather

I love this movie. I watced it for the first time about a month ago. Must say, I was pleased. It gave a good taste of what was going on with the mafia in New York at the time. Must of been hard times. Having mafia families all over the place and what not. I'm sure theres still a trace of these famalies in NY, but not as high influence as it had back in the 30's. Yeah, wouldn't be something I'd want to be caught up in. But if you read this blog, I'll make you an offer you can refuse. ;]

Vista

I hate Vista.

Enough said.

Weather

Cold Winter Road

What can I say? Weather where I live is unpredictable. One minute you'll be driving along, then you glance in your rear view mirror, pretending to look at the car behind you, when in reality your glancing to see if your hair is messed up, then bam. It's raining. Sounds funny, but its true. And no, to you random reads stalking me, I'm not going to mention where I live. Only those of you who know me, know what I'm talking about. Feel honored. What really sucks is when you go to work expecting no rain, so you don't take a rain coat, but then it just happens to rain on you. Marvelous yeah? Luckily for me, my job provides me with a rain coat. All I have to do is hang it on my chair and wait for it to rain. Which it just so happened to do today. However, I did not get a chance to break it out. Bummer. That's all I got, or as the African Americans like to say, that's all I gots for now. Later.

The Scream

Something that has sparked an interest in me is paintings. Take the one to the left for an example, It was painted by a Norwegian artist Edvard Munch, depicting an agonized figure against a blood red sky. What the figure is screaming about is the question yeah? Some say the figure is screaming about some stressful event that has occurred; another possibility is that the figure is covering his ears because of someone else' screaming. I don't know about you, but it gets me wondering what the painters original intention was.

Another thing that's of interest, is that most of these famous paintings have had a eventful history behind them. Meaning they've been stolen. Figuring that "the scream" painting was worth $50 million dollars, I guess you can say that it was worth stealing for art thief's. This version of the painting was once stolen in 1994 and then re-found in 2004! That's ten years of stolen time!

Anyways, from time to time, I will post something meaningful. At least things I think are meaningful.
